Making the Holidays Happy: Food, Fun and Shopping

The holidays are here again, and it seems like they come earlier every year. We know that this time of year can be fun, but it can also be stressful. With all the cooking and preparing for family members to come and visit and trying to find that hard-to-buy person on your shopping list a meaningful present, we can say it: the holidays can sometimes be a lot of trouble!

Luckily, we’re here to help. In our Making The Holidays Happy blog series, we’ll explore how your CAA membership can make your holiday season easier. Read on to find out more about how you can take some of the stress out of food, holiday attractions, and shopping.

Food

Feeding the troops when you’re trying to get that last bit of holiday shopping and planning done can seem like an overwhelming task. Luckily, you can use your CAA membership card to get discounts on great meals at restaurants across Canada! You can swipe your CAA card at these participating restaurants to get these offers:

  • Harvey’s – 2 can dine for $10.49 (i.e. 2 Original or Veggie Burgers, or Hot Dog combos that include a side and 20 oz. drink).
  • Swiss Chalet – 2 can dine for $15.99 (i.e. 2 Quarter Chicken Dinners, white meat add $1.50, upgrade of sides and beverages extra)
  • Montana’s – 2 can dine for $19.99 (i.e. Any 2 burgers, sandwiches or salads excluding Large Brisket Sandwich).
  • East Side Mario’s – CAA Members get 10% off (excludes taxes and alcohol)
  • Kelsey’s – $5 off with a minimum purchase of $30 (excludes taxes and alcohol)
  • Bier Markt – $5 off with a minimum purchase of $30 (excludes taxes and alcohol)
  • Fionn MacCool’s – $5 off with a minimum purchase of $30 (excludes taxes and alcohol)
  • Milestones – Free appetizer with minimum purchase of $30 (Appetizer valued at up to $14, excludes taxes and alcohol)

Attractions

Special holiday attractions don’t just make memories, they also add to the sparkle and magic of the season. CAA Members get special discounts on selected attractions in North America. You could take in the Christmas magic at Casa Loma, or enjoy a holiday-themed performance by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Whatever you love to do at this time of year, you can find a way to use your CAA card to save even more!

Shopping

Ah, holiday shopping – the biggest source of seasonal stress! Luckily, you can use your CAA membership to tap into all of the great discounts and perks you get at retailers across North America. Whether you choose to shop online through the CAA Rewards eStore or you want to buy presents for your loved ones at a mall, you can use your CAA card to save big on electronics, CAA merchandise, luggage, apparel, travel and more.

When you shop at a CAA Store starting December 1, 2015, you can earn a $10 Ultimate Dining Card with a $50 merchandise purchase, a $15 Ultimate Dining Card with a $75 merchandise purchase or a $25 Ultimate Dining Card with a $100 merchandise purchase! Saving has never been so easy!

Or, you can make it easy on yourself and finish off your shopping with a Cineplex Festive Pack! Choose from two packs, one at $25.50 and one at $34.40. Each pack includes tickets from Cineplex and $140 in savings. You can buy online or in a CAA store, whatever is more convenient for you.
